The transportation is some of the best in Romania. This allows you to go in and out of the city as you wish. Few would scarcely be able to resist a trip to Romania without seeing Transylvania and the castle of Vlad The Impaler. These can be short excursions that companies in the city provide. They will have you back in time to start your night life there. You can also go on many 'Dracula' tours for the literature lovers.

As with any city, you have plenty of theater events to attend. Bucharest offers a surprisingly large choice of theaters. They even have a State Jewish Theater, which is nice for diversity in the city. You can go to concerts--classical or modern--and see all different types of dance. The night life in Bucharest is great and there are enough restaurants and clubs to fulfill everyone's preferences. However, many of these clubs are decades behind western countries in terms of music.

The festivals, however, are another story. Bucharest keeps getting more and more diverse with its events. Chinese New Year has recently been instated as a day of national celebration and a parade and festival go through the city. There is also a yearly gay pride parade and strong movement for gay rights.
